Except for snow skiing, rappelling and rock climbing, just about every kind of sport you could ask for is offered in the Wilmington area and along the North Carolina’s southern coast region. (Actually, there is a club, the Cape Fear Ski & Outing Club, 799-8035, that organizes snow ski trips.)

Parents should note that registration fees for youth league sports are often discounted when registering more than one child in the same league. Be sure to inquire.
